Dr. Ayres's Practice Philosophy
Dr. Ayres is dedicated to providing the best possible care available for people of all ages and all walks of life. He is known for his empathy, patience, and willingness to take the time to listen to patients whose complex problems may take more time to address. Dr. Ayres takes the time to create individualized treatment plans for acute and chronic problems that will best maximize patients' life. He has been in practice in Bradenton, Florida for twenty years with a focus in adult hip and knee reconstruction, while allowing patients to return to a more active lifestyle.
Conservative, but Cutting Edge
Dr. Ayres takes a conservative approach to the management of joint pain, but when non-operative medical treatment fails, he is well experienced in cutting-edge surgical procedures using the latest technologies when indicated. He understands proper patient selection and matches patients with the appropriate procedure to assure the most successful outcome possible. Dr. Ayres is experienced in computer assisted surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), Partial Knee Resurfacing, and Hip Resurfacing; as well as traditional total hip and total knee replacement. He is also experienced with revision of hip and knee joint resurfacings and replacements when they wear out, loosen or develop a problem.
Dr. Ayres is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and is a Member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He works with Physician Assistant Timothy Smith, PA-C at two Coastal Orthopedics and Sports Medicine locations. On Tuesdays, Dr. Ayres sees patients at his State Road 64 Office, and on Thursdays and Fridays, he sees patients at his Pointe West Medical Plaza Office.
